GiveThx co-created its program with students and educators to be easy to understand, quick to set up, and joyful to use. Here's what implementation looks like.
Meet with our team to discuss your school community's values, goals, and systems. We'll recommend the implementation path that's right for you.
Commitment: 30 minute meeting
What you'll get: A customized implementation plan and pricing proposal.
step 2: Plan & Setup Systems
Share information on your stakeholders, routines, and calendars. We'll set up your platform access and configuration. We have multiple solutions for rostering and use Google, Microsoft, or Clever for single sign-on.
Commitment: 60 minute planning meeting
What you'll get: A roll-out plan, schedule of check-ins, and the platform configured for your teachers and students.
Step 3: kickoff with staff
Start by establishing a gratitude practice with staff. They will see how the program works with colleagues before expanding the work to students. Educators will develop the skills they need to facilitate the program with confidence.
Commitment: 60 min virtual or 90 min in-person
What you'll get: Confident educators, aligned school leadership, and a shared vision.
step 4: introduce givethx to students
Use flexible GiveThx lessons and practices to introduce gratitude practices in the classroom. Students learn how to send and receive Thx Notes, reflect on their impact and strengths, and build healthy relationships with others.
Timeline: 1-2 months after staff kick-off
What you'll get: Educators and students who understand the program and are actively participating.
step 5: Monitor, Coach, & Grow
Use teacher and administrator dashboards to monitor participation, identify students or staff to intervene with, and measure impact. Our team checks in regularly to offer coaching, answer questions, and share best practices.
Commitment: Ongoing throughout the school year
What you'll get: Continuous support, data to guide decisions, and a program that grows with your school.
What makes it work
Make it a Habit
Administrators protect the time dedicated for staff and students to build a shared gratitude practice, 5 minutes a week for staff and 5-15 minutes a week for students.
Lead by Example
When administrators and teachers send notes every week, students follow. Gratitude is contagious, but it has to start with adults, administrators in particular.
Align WIth values & Systems
Use your school values to guide the practice and integrate the work into existing student and staff routines to make it impactful and sustainable.
What this looks like at your school
Fits your rhythm. GiveThx is designed to fit into the rhythm of your school. It takes minutes a week and integrates naturally into existing systems and routines.
Students and staff co-create the practice. Teachers and students begin by identifying the values their community wants to live by, then use Thx notes to recognize each other when they see those values in action.
Values-driven. Creates regular moments of reflection and recognition that reinforce the character and community your school is already working to build.
Private by design. Notes are never shared publicly, all content is moderated, and the experience is safe and accessible for every student.
"It promotes a positive school culture by making it easy to recognize and reinforce positive behavior among students and staff."
