A Simple Thank You Can Change Everything

We take a proactive approach to improving youth mental health using gratitude, one thank you at a time.
Our Solution
GiveThx is a research-validated K-12 program where students and educators send each other short, specific 'Thx' notes that build real connection and belonging across their school community. In just minutes a week, GiveThx helps everyone, students and educators alike, feel safer, more connected, and ready to learn.
Educators use GiveThx to build a staff practice before introducing it to students.
Students and staff send meaningful Thx notes that recognize something specific someone did.
School communities grow stronger: more connected, more resilient, better able to support every student's mental health.
We slow down the pace of the city to create space for curiosity, kindness, and calm discovery.

60% of youth say loneliness affects their mental health

More than half  of US high schoolers lack a sense of belonging at school.  While digitally connected, many feel unseen in their daily lives.

Anxiety and depression are worsening across K-12 schools, yet the vast majority of students will never see a school counselor or mental health professional.

With student-to-counselor ratios averaging 372:1, most interventions are reactive, reaching only a fraction of students who need support. Teletherapy and AI tools help supplement capacity, but they still focus on individual treatment, not the daily conditions that shape student wellbeing and belonging.

Schools need solutions that build those conditions in, strengthening wellbeing, belonging, and connection for every student, not just those in crisis.
Research Results

Every note has a story.

Behind every Thx note is a moment that mattered. Students and educators share their stories, and what it feels like to be seen and appreciated.
"I just didn't realize some of these people even knew who I was. I feel like they see me, and that they actually appreciate the things I do."
